FATAL ACCIDENT.
Taumarunui, Jan. 12. , Rata. Goodsir, 22 years of age, and daughter of Mr A. J. Goodsir, a farmer, met with an accident on Saturday nigh! which ended fatally. She returned from a holiday at Hamilton on Saturday, and attended pictures, and as her parents live a few mill's out, she went to slay with friends in, town. At eleven o’clock the family were in bed, and the first heard was the girl rushing into a bedroom in flames and screaming. She then ran to,a tap in the kitchen. Her friends followed and extinguished the llames, but the girl was badly hurried from the waist to the neck. She was admitted to the hospital at midnight, but died early this morning. Deceased slated (bat she was cleaning ber gloves with benzine near a lighted caudle.
