A meeting' of the Ladies’ -Auxiliary and the Board oi Management took pliice in the Glut) rooms on Friday iiClernoon, when Mrs AustinJohnston (president of the Auxiliary) entertained (hose present to afternoon tea.
Miss Fraser, hon. secretary of the Auxiliary, read the balance-sheet which was iis follows: —Receipts: Donations, £5 2s (id; Committee efforts £9(i Os 3d; total receipts, £lOl 11s 9d. Expenditure; Stamps and petty, 9s (id; total amount paid to Secretary of Red Shield Club, £lOl 2s 3d; total expenditure, £lOl 11s 9d.
Captain Collin, on behalf of the Board of Management and the members of the Club (the boys), (hanked (he ladies for their splendid achievement, and briefly outlined the future policy and possibilities of the Club, expressing the hope Unit the ladies would still look upon (be Club with interest and he able to include its welfare amongst their pel bobbies.
Mr Tver presented a statement of receipts and expenditure, und iidded a few words of appreciation of the work the Auxiliary luul done. Air Perreau, who bus been in close (ouch with the Club since its inception, also spoke eulogistically of the ladies’ effort, and moved a formal vote of thanks, which was curried with acclamation.
