WIFE FOR PRINCE OF WALES.
INDIAN PRINCESS SUGGESTED.
“I am about to add somethin!? which may startle some people,’’ said Senator Kakliap, when speaking on the Peace Treaty in the Federal Senate last month. He explained that he was a supporter of I lie monarehial institutions of the British Empire. They were the kingpin of our empire system. The King was u erowhed president, worthy of all res pee t and honour. A young man, now known as the Prinee of Wales, would one day be erowned as King and Emperor. Jle would be the Emperor of the Indian peoples. “They are looking for a wife for this young limn,’’ said Senator Bakhap, “and I hope that he will not marry a German princess. -Those great statesmen who have to consider this matter are in a cpiandry, because of Hie disappearance of so many monarchies, But in our own British Dominions, in this Empire of ours, there exist dynasties of people as proud as Lucifer, whose lineage can be traced back long before the days of most dynasties. Many of the governing classes of India, it is true,
wear the burnished livery of (he sun, but there are also Indian princesses who are whiter than many alleged white men you meet in Bourke Street. In the interests of binding this Empire together, and assuring the loyalty of that great Asiatic people, the very best thing that could happen would he to see the Prince of Wales, marry a high-des-cended, blue-blooded Indian princess."
