VICTORY WAR LOAN.

EXTENSION OF TIME* The original date for the closing of applications in connection with the Victory War-Loan was fixed for Thursday last, hut the Minister of Finance has decided to make an extension of fourteen days. No details arc available yet as to the response made to the loan. Sir Jaiues Allen mentioned that one of the purposes of this loam is for the payment of the war gratuities agreed to by the House, and that, therefore, the loan gives men, women and children the opportunity of participating directly in (he practical expression of sympathy with the soldiers.
