FOXTON RETAILERS’ ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of shopkeepers was held yesterday morning in the Red Shield Club (kindly len't for the purpose by Captain Goffin) to discuss the question of forming a Retailers’ Association. There was a good attendance, and Mr M. E. Perreau was voted to the chair. .After discussion it was unanimously decided to form an association, to be called the Foxton Retailers’ Association, and that the subscription fee for the first year be five shillings, same to be increased if found necessary. Mr W. ■ D. Bauckham was elected chairman, and Mr’ A. N, Smith Secretary. It was decided that meetings bo held at 10 a.m. on the first Wednesday in each mouth. a A vote of thanks was passed to Mr C. Simmons for his services in connection with the Holiday Association.
x Votes of thanks to the chair and Captain Goffin for the use of the room concluded the meeting.
