AIR. W. F. TRUEMAN AP-
POINTED,
The Borough Council on Tuesday night appointed Mr William Frederick Trueman to the position of Town Clerk and Borough Treasurer, rendered vacant through the resignation of Air W. Waters.- There were fifteen applications-for. the position, and these were first reduced to three and the final choice fell on Air Trueman) who will take up his duties during the first week in August. Air W, F. Trueman, who is 27 years of age, is a returned soldier, having been on active service for two years. - He is a native of England, and came to the Dominion about eight years ago, and was for three years engaged in farming pursuits. He left New Zealand as a member of the Expeditionary Forces, and upon his return was employed for a time in the Base Records Office, being transferred from there to the office of the Director of Recruiting, and later to the head office of the Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce, where he is still employed.
