INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC.
INCREASED VIRULENCE IN
SYDNEY,
Sydney, April 4
Owing to the continued increase of the virulence of the influenza epidemic it has now been found impossible to isolate contacts. The Administrative Committee has adopted a report advising the exhibition of black and yellow labels rvith tlic words "Stand off"’ in the windows of houses containing iulhicnza cases. The Government is making an urgent appeal for doctors and nurses to enable mure hospitals to ho opened. A proclamation prohibits all indoor meetings other than church services. CASES ON THE NIAGARA. Auckland, April 4. An additional live eases of influenza have been landed from the Niagara, making eight yesterday and to-day.
