RIFLE SHOOTING.
A match was fired on the local range on Saturday afternoon between teams representing the Linton and Foxton Rifle Clubs. Owing to insufficient targets and a late start, the teams were only able to fire seven shots at 200 yards and five at 300 yards. The scoring was very even, the visitors winning by the narrow margin of seven points. The following are the details: LINTON. 200 Yds. 300 Yds. Tl. T. Edwards 20 . 22 51 F. Mayo 30 20 50 L.
