TRUSTEES’ REPORT
The report of (he Trustees of the Mauawatu (Foxton) Racecourse Trustees, as I’olloavs, Ava.s adopted at, a public meeting held yesterday afternoon: “The Trustees beg to report the balance to credit at tlm Post Office Savings Bank at £27 13s Id on March 31st. There is hoav in hand a sum of £lO rent from Racing Club, against Avhich there is a liability of £lO 18s (Id, leaving the balance very much as before. - ’l'he Trustees are also pleased to report a final settlement lias been arranged with the Borough Council in connection with the road encroachment, (lie Council retaining the road and giving the Trustees an equivalent in area on the northern boundary. The Trustees have also made a new lease to the Foxton Racing ■Club for 14 years from August Ist last, at a yearly rental of £lO. The balance-sheet of the Racing Club Ims been received, and (lie trustees arc pleased to note the Club has had a very successful year, considering (hero was only one day’s racing, and I nisi their success will be continued.”
