PARLIAMENTARY BY-ELEC-TIONS.
The nominations for the Palmerston North by-election closed yesterday at noon. Four candidates were nominated, Hie names being as follows :
James Alfred Nash, nominated by 1). W. Strang, IT. F. Gibbons, J. Gleeson, Alexander Clark, E. C. Him, Arthur E. Bonnet!, Arthur Tfopwood, and Reginald T. Bell. Ernest Hugh Crabh, nominated by Victor Samuel Harris, John Cunninghaine, T. H. Hodgson, Emma Marion I [odder, Amy Louise .Findlay, and Ernest W. Watson.
Andrew Buchanan, nominated by A. L. Westmoreland, J. S. Miami, W. S. Carter, and Robert Tanner. Alexander Galbraith, nominated by Percy T. Robinson, Frederick J. Lewin, C. J. Gill, Hugh D. Ayson, Joseph D. Carty, amMV. G. o’Donnell.

George Irosl (City Councillor), Robert Seraph' (Labour nominee) and John Castle (City Councillor) are the only nominees for Hie ’Wellington South hy-eleclion.
