Dr. Mandl is going at high pressure, and in order to relieve him as much as possible the public' are requested to act on this suggestion. Affected households arc notified that Mr Perreau, acting in conjunction with Mr Bryant, is making up soup for those who are ill, which may be procured at a moderate cost. The soup is only for those who are. ill. Those requiring same arc requested to bring jugs or other suitable receptacles. The Mayor has convened a meeting, to be held at 8 o'clock to-night in (he Council Chambers, of all willing to assist in combating (he epidemic, and who arc prepared to render personal service. . Disinfectant may be purchased at the Borough gasworks at Is (id per bottle —cut price. Purchasers are requested to tiring their own bottles. The strength of spray is one part disinfectant to 80 parts water. ” Acting under instructions from the authorities we are requested to demand that all householders immediately disinfect their premises, outhouses and back yards.
