GERMAN ARMISTICE.

The sensational news that Germany had signed the armistice was cabled from Vancouver yesterday, and transmitted throughout the country. A later message from Washington denied the report. When the unofficial news was circulated there was great rejoicing, and Wellington downed tools. Several oilier towns followed with premature rejoicings. Up to the present no official confirmation of the report has been received.
