FAILURE TO PARADE.
Christchurch, Nov. 5. r Die sentences imposed by n district court-martini, which to-day found two Christchurch reservists guilty of refusing to obey the lawful commands of a superior officer by failing to parade for medical examination when notified to do so, have been confirmed by Colonel Chaffey, officer commanding the Canterbury military district. Andrew Ivermaway Henderson, artist. Redcliffs, who has already served, a sentence for a similar offence, is sentenced to two years’ imprisonment with hard labour. Joseph M’Millan Hawker, of Victoria Street, is sentenced to ten months’ imprisonment with hard labour.
