MILITARY SERVICE APPEALS.
DISTRICT CASES. The following district appeals were dealt with at the sitting of the Military Service Appeal Board at Palmerston North this week: — Gregory Gerald Kelly, motor agent, Shannon, who was granted leave at last sitting of the Board in order to dispose of his business, stated that he had made every endeavour to sell or to obtain a manager, hut had so far been unsuccessful. One intending buyer had recently been called up and passed fit for sendee. —The appeal was dismissed, leave being granted to January. Skipper Martin, milkman, Iliumtangi, had his appeal allowed on the grounds that he was not a reservist, being a three-quarter-cast-Maori. The appeal of William Joseph Neylon, farmer, Eoxton, was adjourned until to-morrow. William Henry Dawson, head storeman for the New Zealand Shipping Company, Eoxton, appealed for time, pending the hearing of his application to the Financial Assistance Board. — I Thc hearing was adjourned till next sitting. The appeal of C. C. Rand, scutcher, Eoxton, was withdrawn.
