THE COAL CRISIS.
CONFERENCE at an end. Wellington, Last Night. The conference between representatives of the Coal Mine Owners’ Association and the Miners’ Federation concluded its deliberations this evening. Certain conclusions were arrived at, the terms of which will immediately be referred to the Miners’ Union for their ratification. The Miners’ Federation delegates will visit the various districts and explain the findings of the Conference to the members of the unions, after which a ballot will be taken and the result he made known at the earliest possible date. The terms of the proposed settlement will not be made public until after the ballot is taken.
