Communication with. Lake Coleridge is again established,, a party getting through yesterday. Electric current is now available on both lines to the city.

The Telegraph Department reports that the lines on the East Coast route are still interrupted, but it is hoped that communication will be established to-day via Cheviot, Avhich is the alternatiA-e route used as a contingency against a breakdown of the main route. Christchurch, July 8, The railway service throughout Canterbury has been restored to normal conditions. The West Coast train is expected to leave to-mor-roAv, but there is no guarantee that the coach service is able to provide the connecting link.
