FOXTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
COMMITTEE REPORT. • At Monday night’s Council meeting the report of the Public Works Committee as follows was adopted: A meeting was held on May Bth, when there were present: —The Mayor and Crs Henderson, Coley and Thompson.
It was decided to recommend that the footpath on the northern side of Union Street be graded, and that the spoil removed from the Avenue Road footpath be spread on same, and that owners of hedges overhanging or encroaching on footpaths be directed to have same cut back.
Also, that after inspecting various sites suggested for the proposed public urinal, and after interviewing the district health inspector,. the Committee has no recommendations to make re site for same, the inspector stating that in his opinion the erecting of a bhilding of this nature without a suitable water and drainage scheme would only be creating a nuisance.
