BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at last night's Council meeting as follows: — The sum of £341 14s lid was received during the month of February, and placed to credit as under; District fund account £338 4s lid, cemetery account £3 10s Od. The balances of the various funds at the Bank of New Zealand as at the 28th February, 1918, were as. follow: —District fund account, debit, £BB3 13s 7d, cemetecy account, credit, £lO 17s 2d, and the ledger balances at the same date as follow: —Cemetery £lO 17s 2d, hospital and charitable aid £3O 9s 7d, library £l4 14s lOd, reserves £3B 10s Id, sanitation £l7O 13s fid, Town Hall £3l 8s 4d, Whirokino bridge loan £l9 7s, Shannon bridge loan £lO 8s 4d, council chamber loan £9 3s Id, Whirokino bridge additions loan £24 5s Id, roads and streets No. 2 £l4 13s sd, Beach road loan £39 6s sd, all in credit, a total of £413 16s lid. The accounts at debit were : —Genera] £529 3s sd, gas works £4OB 14s sd, imprest cash £lO, roads and streets loan interest £lB 12s lOd, gas works loan interest £320 2s Bd, total £1,286-13s 4d.
