BOWLING.

The first match this season for the Dixon Cup, at present held by the Palmerston Club, will be played on the Palmerston green to-morrow’ afternoon, when the holders willplay a challenging rink from Foxton. The holders are: Whitehead, Tattersall, J. A. Nash, N. H. Nash (s), and Foxton will be represented by D. Whibley, Nye, Hawke, F. D. Whibley (s).

The following are the results of ladder games played on the local green recently: —Rimmer 21 beat Nye 15, Crawley 18 beat Stewart 15, and F. Whibley 23 beat Rimmer 14.
