PATRIOTIC SHOP.
“Men’s Day” was a succesful function at the Patriotic Shop on Saturday, and £2O Avas raised in aid of the funds of the Ladies’ Patriotic Guild. Nobody guessed the contents of the tAvo bottles presented by Mr P, Lumsden, Avhich,Avere parsnip winq and elderberry wine, The big effort of Men’s Day was the effort to raise money by means, of gifts of toAY from the various mills of the district, and the flaxmili lers are heartily thanked for tho very generous response.
