CROQUET.

The president of the Bowling Club, Mr W. Nye, has presented a pair of silver mallets for competition among members of the local croquet club, and the first match for same was played yesterday afternoon. Matches will be played every Wednesday afternoon the teams, to play the holders drawn at half-past fwo. Yesterday the teams drawn were Mesdames Parkes arid Perreau, and Mesdames Ball and Evans. Mesdames Parkes and Perreau wore successful, and will hold the mallets until defeated.
