THE GREY SEAT.
MR. WEBB A CANDIDATE. Greymouth, Nov. 14. In compliance with the request of the Labour Party, Mr Webb has definitely announced himself as a candidate for the Grey seat. Speaking in the Opera house last night, he said he stood as the avowed enemy of the Government, whom he invited to come to the electorate and help vote him out. He hoped the election would not be conducted on the “win the war” cry, hut as a test of approval or otherwise of the National Government’s'policy on the cost of living question and on its war measures particularly.
