PATRIOTIC SHOP.
The Patriotic Shop was open on Saturday last, under the charge of Mesdames Alex, floss and F. Proctor, who acknowledge gifts from the following;—Mesdames J. 11, Robinson, Healey, Hussey, W. Ross, Rorc, Patterson, C. Robinson, J. Ross, Spoil's, John Rohinson, Osborne, senr., Knox, Ingle, Boydcn, F. Rohinson, McLeod, A, S- Easton, F. Procter, Newlli (Moutoa), McMurray, Harvey, Hawke, Procter, senr., A, P. Easton, A. L. Harper, Pearson, Kcllow, Hcnrickson, Ronton, A. King, C. Symons, de Kidder, G. Rough, H. Rivers, and Sha.iler (Himatangi), Misses Woodroofe, Pearson, Messrs F, Procter, Simmons, A. Ross, Spcirs, and Master F, Procter, The cake was won by Mrs A. Green, with the letter L, The name of the dog to win the water-colour by Master Procter, was ‘‘Chum,” but was not guessed by any competitor. Next Saturday Mrs E. Ball and Mrs Arthur Harper will have charge of the shop, and a consignment of first-grade Stunner apples from Nelson will be on sale.
