PATRIOTIC FUNDS.
MEAT THE STATE SCHOOL HAS DONE. A return was submitted at last night’s Slate School Committee meeting by the headteacher, showing the amounts raised by (he school children in various ways towards patriotic funds. The particulars arc as follow: Red Cross cards, £2O; jumble stall sales, £26; collections at school, £6 10s; effort on behalf of the Jutland dependants, £95; Air Raid Fund, £6; in aid of Christmas puddings (Airs Luke), £1 2s; stall at the Patriotic Carnival, £45 8s; a total of! £2OO. Apart from (his, the children have contributed and forwarded to Dr. Barnardo's Homos £B, and have also contributed lo presentation funds.
