THE LIBETRY WAR LOAN.
Subscriptions for the Liberty War Loan are reaching the Treasury from all parts of Xew Zealand. The amount of money required, however, is very large, and the Minister of Finance (the Light lion. Sir Joseph Ward) said on Saturday that he wanted every citizen of Xew Zealand to feel a personal obligation in the matter. A sum of £12,000,()()() is required on the present occasion, with another CIO,000,000 or £12,000,000 six months hence, and the furnishing of this hug e sum of money will demand tinunited efforts of all the people of -New Zealand, the -mall investors as well as the large;.
