DISCONTENT IN THE RANKS. A CHANGE SUGGESTED. In the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon, Air C. J. Parr, the member for Eden, who was one of the members of the Parliamentary parly which visited the trenches, gave notice to ask the Minister for Defence (the Hon. Sir James Allen) the following questions; — “In view of the practically universal discontent of all ranks of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces at the front for the past two years and a-half at remaining under General Godiey’s command, and in view of the fact that the people of New Zealand share’ this discontent, will the Minister for Defence make representations to the Imperial Government to have the New Zealand Division replaced under General Birdwood, so that the Anzaes may be united under one command, and General Godley promoted to some other sphere of activity?’' “Does the. Minister for Defence consider that the persistent and ineradicable discontent of the Expeditionary Forces with the General Officer Commanding, whether justified conducive to efficiency, 'jRSKJaGj and enthusiasm?” V ================
