MOUTOA NOTES.
(Own Correspondent). Mr W. J. Pees, manager of the Marotiri creamery, who is shortly leaving the district, and who lias during the time lie lias been at Marotiri occupied the position of Scoutmaster of the Monica Poy Scouts, was this week made the recipient of a presentation from his company of Scouts. The function was held at the residence of Mr P. T. Shaw, and was well attended by the Scouts and some Mouloa friends. On behalf of the boys, M.r Shaw asked Mr Rees' to accept a case of Loewe pipes as a token of the esteem in which he was held, together with the host wishes of the hoys and Mouloa residents for his future prosperity. The recipient feelingly responded, heartily thanking the hoys for their token of goodwill and assuring them of his interest in their future welfare and good conduct. Whitaunui, Ltd., has again resumed operations, necessary repairs having caused a fortnight's idleness. Private 0. Mohekey, who enlisted in the 2(ith Reinforcements, is home again, he having been turned down, to his great regret. Private B. Mohekey and Private L. Morgan will he leaving for the front will) the 2(ith Reinforcements. We wish them a safe return. A farewell to Mr W. •). Rees will be held by the .Mouloa and Marotiri residents in the Mouloa school on Friday, June Ist. A movement is on foot to tender a farewell to Driver E. Spring, X.Z.P.A., 2Sth Reinforcements, and also to Privates D. Coley and Vincent McDowell, who are leaving shortly for the front.
