was decided lo meet the first Monday in each month, at 7.30 p.m. The following sub-committee was appointed, with power to act, in connection witli the calling of tenders for the construction of a concrete foot path before the wetweather sets in: Messrs Rev. Bredin, Woods. Betty, and the Chairman. Mr Woods brought up the question of ilie discrepancy in prices for school books charged locally and in other centres. It was resolved to ask local booksellers to place local requirements on the same footing as in other centres, and failing that, the Committee to take such steps to meet the children’s requirements as they deem necessarv.
Mr McMiirray called attention to the holding back of the quarterly capitation grant by the Board. He said it was unfair to the Committee that it should be left waiting several weeks after due date for the payment of the grant. It was resolved to communicate with, the Board on the subject. The Rev. Bredin and Mr Betty were, appointed visitors for the month.
