TWO-UP SCHOOLS.
The attention of the Minister for •Justice litis been drawn to the operations of two-up schools in and about Foxlon by Mr W. H. Field, M.F., who writes: "1 know what a curse this I wo-up school business is and I therefore drew the Minister’s attention to ‘Parent's’ letter, and the paragraph in the ‘Herald’ of a few days previous,” Mr Field adds; ‘lf the local police, are insufficient to cope’with the difficulty, the Department had better send Foxton help.” The following reply has been received by Mr Field from the Minister for Justice: — “Dear Sir. —I have to acknowledge (he receipt of your letter of the 281 It instant, enclosing a letter signed by ‘A Parent’ which was published in flic ‘Manawatu Herald,’ drawing attention to the existence of lwo-up schools in Foxton. In reply, I beg to inform you that I have noted the representations you have submitted to me, and I shall he glad lo instruct the Commissioner of Police to have very careful inquiries made in the matter.”
