SEVERAL BPILHJNGS DESTROYED. Nelson, March 27. The most disastrous tire (hat has occurred in Nelson lor many yen is broke out in a block of wooden shops in Trafalgar Street to-night. The premises of Light ha ml and Co., hoot and shoe manufacturers; Jackson and Co.. Ltd., booksellers and stationers; and W. C. Ansel!, chemist, were totally destroyed, as also were the bulk stores of Messrs Buxton and Co., Ltd., ironmongers and general merchants, running behind the premises mentioned. The damage dune runs into thousands.
