To-momnv otternoon three rinks of bowlers from the Palmerston North Chib will visit Foxton to play a friendly game. Local players are requested to he on the green as near a quarter to two as possible so that an early start with the games can he made. The> croquet lawns will also be fully occupied, twelve ladies from Levin having signified their intention of being present. The folluAving are Ihe results of competition matches played on the local green recently: — Handicap singles. — Waimvright (9) 2!) heat Healey (4) 15, W’ainwright (0) 28 heat Barr (4) 20, Stewart (5) 30 heat Barr (4) 14, Walker (4) 23 heat Bryant (4) 14. Pairs. —Large and F. Whihloy (1) 19 beat Healey and Ball (2) 13. The Levin Club was desirous of sending a rink over to-morruAV afternoon to play for the Kinniburgh Feathers, hut owing to the visit of three rinks from Palmerston, this match had to he postponed.
