ENTERTAINMENTS.

“OUR PICTURES.” The current programme at the Town' Hall pictures contains an exciting and amusing story of the life of an eccentric outlaw, “The Good Bad-Man.” Space will not permit of a synopsis of this drama, but it may he mentioned that the leading roles are being taken by the screen favourites, Bessie Love and Douglas Fairbanks, both of whom are most favourably known as appearing in recent Pine Arts productions. Douglas Fairbanks in this case appears as “Passin’ Through,” the good bad-man,” who robs society (o give to society's outcasts, and in this tale of his exploits many interesting and thrilling passages are portrayed. He robs the rich to pay the poor, like a modern Robin Hood, and has the time of his life out in the wilds. Then he met little Bessie, the daughter of a real bad man. She had ideas of her own about him —and that’s where the pathos of the story starts. But it's full of real good humour, excitement and tense drama. There will also be shown, “Summer Trip Through Nova Scotia,” a scenic of great beauty; “Women Munition Workers,” showing glimpses of the toilers who are making victory possible for the Allies; and “Mutt and Jeff in a Big League,” a series of very comic doings. This programme was screened last night to a very appreciate audience, and will be repeated this evening. FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. There will be shown at the Town Hall on Friday and Saturday a. programme containing a strong list of items. The first to be considered is the third instalment of the “Stingaree” series, which is entitled the “Black Hole of Glenranald.” In this episode Stingaree passes through some exciting adventures, and narrowly escapes capture at the hands of a clerk, after having foiled the designs of a bank manager in an attempt to capture the outlaw in the “Black Hole of Glenranald.” The series provides many interesting and thrilling incidents, and Avill be found a fitting continuation, of the strong story that has already been depicted. A magnificent production by the Equitable Company will supplement “Stingaree’ on this programme, which is a star item entitled “The Devil’s Toy.” The play is stylishly mounted, and, the costuming is an outstanding feature. Miss Adele Blood, who plays the leading character, gives a fine impersonation. There is also a great laughter-raising film included, featuring Marie Dressier in “Tillie's Tomato Surprise,” and the programme is completed with a good number of the Topical Budget, a fine scenic “In the Italian Tyrol,” and a Yitagraph comedy, “Ghosts and Flypaper,” which is very laughable.
