WEDDING BELLS.

IT A RDM AN —NIELSEN,

A pretty wedding was celebrated at the loeal Presbyterian Clmrch on Wednesday, December fith, when Doris Wilhohninea, second daughter of Mr X. P. Neilsen, of Invercargill (now on active service in Franco), was united in holy matrimony to Francis, eldest son of Mr H. Hardman, of Oamarn. The bride, who looked charming, was dressed in white embroidered voile, with the usual orthodox veil and orange blossom, owing to the absence of Iter hrothei’, who is at present in training' at Fealhcrston, and leaves with (lie 21st Reinforcements, was given away by Mr W. Dawson. The bride was attended by her (wo sisters, Annie and .Josephine, as bridesmaids, who were both attired in shell pink silk with cream lace mop caps with pink roses. Mr K. A. Purnell oflieiated as best man, and the Kev. .1. 11. .Bredin lied the nuptial knot. The bride carried a beautiful bouquet of while roses and maiden hair fern, and (he bridesmaids carried bouquets of pah l pink sweet peas, roses and asparagus fern. After the ceremony the friends of the bride and bridegroom were entertained at breakfast at Perreau’s rooms, when the usual toasts were honoured. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a gold pendant, set with rubies and pearls, and to the bridesmaids he gave gold broodies set with pearls and rubies and amethysts respectively. The bride's gift to (he bridegroom, was a set of engraved ebony hair-brushes. Later the happy couple left by (he afternoon train, amid showers of rice and confetti, en route for Napier, where the honeymoon was spent. The bride's Ira.veiling dress was a grey silk poplin costume, with grey and fiink hat trimmed with pink roses and forget-me-not. The presents were numerous and costly, showing the esteem in which the happy couple are held . Mr and Mrs Hardman lake up their residence in Palmerston North. In common with their many friends, we wish (hem happiness and prosperity.
