STATE SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

The monthly meeting of the above was hold ou Tuesday night. Present : Messrs Ilornblow (clmirman), MeMurray, Betty, Woods, MeColl, and (he head teacher (Mr Jaekson). Apologies for absence were rcccived from Llie Kev. Brediu and Air Hussey. II was reported that the estimate, for asphalting’ the path and assembly had been forwarded to Mrs Auslin-Johnston, who had kindly offered to assist the Committee to defray cost of work. The balance-sheet in connection with the recent concert- and picture entertainment was submitted, and disclosed a credit of ,CI.I 7s, upon which amount the Committee had applied to the Board for a subsidy of ,C for The head teacher's action in purchasing prize, ",to supplement those donated, was endorsed, and accounts for same were passed for payment. The Committee passed a vole of (hanks (o all who had donated hooks and cash to the prize fund. On the Chairman’s suggestion, the Committee decided to bring tinder the Board’s notice the attendance record, covering a period of seven and a-half years, of Claude Cunningham. It was resolved to submit the name of Mr A. ■]. Kellow to the Board as the Committee's auditor for the current year. Messrs MeMurray and Perreau were appointed visitors for the month.
