SERIOUS FIRE IN WELLINGTON.

A lire which did serious dunmgo to the establishment of A. Lindsay, Ltd., boot manul'aclni'ei's, of Lambton ( L )uay, occurred lids morning. The insurances were: —On the building (owned by Alfred Lindsay), £4,000 in the Norwich Union; on the stock (belonging to Lindsay, Ltd.), £0,400 in the Norwich Union, £I,OOO in the Fun, and £SOO in the Victoria. Mr Fairchild, dentist, had an insurance on his slock of £750 in the Liverpool, London and Globe; Air Levien, carrying on Fairchild’s practice, had his own stock insured in the South British for £2OO. A Paterson (trading as .McGregor, Wright and Co., artists’ salesmen) was a heavy loser, having mi insurance.
