PRICE OF MEAT.

At Wellington to-day, the Minister in Charge of the Imperial Supplies Brunch (Him. W. D. S. MacDonald), will meet the representatives oil the freezing companies of New Zealand and submit the information received from the i’rime Minister in London as to the terms he has been able to make with the Imperial Board of Trade regarding the price of meat exported from New Zealand. It is generally understood that the new arrangement will, if endorsed at this end, mean an increase in the export price of meat, but it is not at the moment considered likely that any such increase will affect the price of meat locally.
