There's plenty of humour in life —wholesome humour that lightens the day’s burdens, Few of us get. more than our share of joys. Wo let our happiness slide l easily from our grasp. There is plenty of fun in life —and pictures. Now, honestly, just between you and 1, isn't it; foolish to sit with tense throat, and gripping hands while some vampire woman vamps viciously and without, reason, when you might he doing a. good turn to that; good friend —your liver? Mack Senuetl, the, great Keystone producer, sprang a surprise on the inhabitants of Los Angelos the other day, when he math' Triangle comedies for the (Irst time. At six o’clock one morning, Los Angelos was appalled by the spectacle of two railway engines dashing towards one another on a single line, and (hen piling up head-on in a. frightful collision. An hour later a, tram rattled down the main street with a girl hanging perilously to the electric' pole, followed by a tornado of revolver shots. Simultaneously, two racing ears started to elbow one another all over the footpath, and ended up in a ditch. A moment later a niro-glycerine explosion wrecked (he whole front of a shop, and shouts for help came from an old man who appeared to be drowning in a lak(>. Then, as a climax to the day's excitement, a train tore (dean through a dead-end and toppled right over a cliff, crashing to the ground two hundred feet below. When Los Angelos got the real version in the evening papers, everyone exclaimed; “Mack Senuetl again!’’ “('rooked to the End” had been produced in one day, and because of (lie pace at which, everything had to be done, he Idled the picture with humour, which is described at cyclonic. This picture will be screened at the Town Hall to-morrow night, for one night only. There are lots of other good things on this programme! THURSDAY. On Thursday, for oik 1 night only, the Thanhouser Company will tiresent a 4,0()0ft. photoplay, “Royal Love.” Stephen, the King of Bovoria, is surrounded by conspirators, chief among 1 whom is his own cousin, Alexis. Stephen and his are assassinated. Captain Moran and a few trusty servants manage to save Rupert, the infant Prince. Prince Rupert is taken to England by Captain Moran, and lives under the name of Rupert Moran. Alexis usurps the throne and lives a life of profligacy surrounded by people of doubtful character, chief among whom is Anita, his mistress. His ministers, wishto save their King's name, arrange a marriage between their King and a beautiful Grand-Duchess, named Tliora, of a neighbouring State. Rupert in the meantime has grown to manhood, and he meets Thora, they become infatuated one with the other, but Thora, owing to her duty to her country, is pledged to marry Alexis. Rupert in the meantime is told that he is the rightful heir to the throne of Bovoria, and he determines to visit his country. He does so, and again meets Tliora in the castle where she is held virtually a prisoner, awaiting her marriage witli Alexis. Rupert is cast into prison, but he escapes and surprises. Alexis with his mistress. There is-a fight, Anita fires a shot to kill Rupert, but instead kills Alexis. Rupert is proclaimed King, and he and Thora'are happily married. The supporting list is varied and interesting.
