HARBOUR BOARD’S PROPOSALS

UNANIMOUSLY SUPPORTED BY BOROUGH COUNCIL.

At last night’s meeting of the Borough Council the . Harbour Board’s proposals in connection with the wharf acquisition question and the formation of a rating area were considered. Messrs Hennessy (chairman) and Jenks (member of the Board) were present, and explained the proposals. The Finance Committee of the Council had dealt with the matter last Friday night, and submitted a recommendation for the Council to support the Board. It was unanimously decided to support the proposals of the Board.
