TO KITCHENER’S MEMORY.
A MANSION HOUSE FUND
The Lord Mayor of London has sent the following telegram to His Excellency the Governor: At the request of Her Majesty Queen Alexandra, I have opened a Mansion House Fund for the purpose of raising a memorial to the memory of Lord Kitchener. In view of his great services to the Empire, 1 venture to ask whether you would issue an appeal throughout the Dominion on behalf of the fund, the object of which is to benefit disabled officers and men of the Navy and Army, including disabled Dominion sailors and soldiers in this
, country. His Excellency heartily endorses the appeal. Contributions should be sent to the Under-Secretary, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
