HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The High Commissioner cabled yesterday at noon as follows : The hemp market opened weak,' but is now steadier. It has been unfavourably affected by heavy Manila shipments. During February to England 62,000 bales, compared with 9,000 bales during January’. Manila, new graded fair ios on spot, April to June shipment: Manila, new graded fair : N.Z. good fair fair 53 ; fair in dock sold this week at The output from Manila for the week ended March xßch was 27,000 bales.
