BOWLING.
Yesterday afternoon on the Palmerston Club’s green a very interesting game was played for the Manawatu Ferns between Tasker’s rink (holders) and Rimmer’s rink (challengers), resulting in a win for the challenging team by two points. The game was close throughout and alter the twentieth head the score stood 22 all, Foxton putting a two on their opponents in the last head and thus winning the game. The following are the teams and scores : Foxton. Palmerston., Ball Childs Hore Tattersall Spring Seitert Rimmer (s) 24 Tasker (s) 22
There was a fair muster on the local green yesterday afternoon and the green was playing well. Afternoon tea was provided by Miss Edwards.
