SOCIAL AND PRESENTATION.
All Saints’ Church choir and entertained Miss fenhs at asocial last night in Ibe s.'boolroom, and presented her with asilver tea service in honour of her approaching wedding, and to mark the appreciation of her services as organist, and the part she has taken in the social life of the church, practically since childhood. Among those present were representatives of other churches. At a suitable break in the social programme the vicar, Rev, W. Raine, made the presentation, and referred to the esteem in which the guest was held, and the services she had rendered to the church both as organist and in its social life. As an organist Miss Teaks could fill the position in a much larger sphere. Miss jenks had assisted to produce harmony in the church service, and he hoped harmony would follow her, together with other blessings throughout her married life. Those assembled then rose and sang “ For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow ” finishing with the usual cheers. On behalf of Miss Jenks, Mr Hornblow thanked the congregation and the vicar for the kind thoughts which prompted the token of esteem, and the good wishes expressed by the Rev. Mr Raine. The associations of the church life would ever remain a pleasant memory with Miss Jenks. Refreshments were supplied in abudance, and a most enjoyable time spent by all.
