HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The High Commissioner cabled yesterday at noon as follows :
The Manila market is rather less active this week owing to heavy receipt figures. The outpuc from Manila for the week was 25,000 bales, and the estimate for the next two weeks is 52,000 bales. The freight difficulty is still active, and sellers are not pressing. February to April shipment, Manila new graded fair 10s. The New Zealand market is quiet but steady at last quotations. The Dominion offerings are very small. The stock on 31st January was 611 tons.
