BOROUGH FINANCES.

The Borough Treasurer reported at last night’s Council meeting as follows :

“I have the honour to report that the following amount was received during the past month and placed to credit of the District Fund viz., ,£192 9s. The positions of the accounts at the B.N.Z. are : District fund account credit £192 is rod and cemetery account credit ,£4 15 s nd. The ledger balances of the various accounts are as under: Sanitation ,£i6r 2s qd, reserves ,£137. Bs, town hall £9O 9s 2d, gas works £39 os 4d, beach road loan £32 4s sd, Council Chambers and public library loan £23 ios, hospital and charitable aid £l7 14s id, Whirokino bridge loan £l6 is 2d. roads and streets loan No. 2 ,£io 17s 2d, cemetery ,£4 15 s nd, B as works loan £3 os id, contractor’s deposits £3, library £3 18s, Whirokino bridge additions loans 8s qd, Shannon bridge loan 7s sd, alMn credit, a total of ,£543 17s 2d. The accounts at debit are: General ,£255 15s xd, sundry debtors ,£47 18s, road and street loan ,£33 6s 4d and imprest cash ,6io, total £346 19s S«J.
