FATAL COLLISION WITH TRAM CAR

Auckland, January 26. A violent collision occurred in Khyber Pass this morning between a van, owned by Messrs R. and W. Hellaby, I„td., and a tramcar, bound from Onehunga to the city. The driver Ernest Neal, had the base of his skull fractured, and died within an hour at the hospital. Both horses were severely cut, and one had to be destroyed. Deceased was thirtytwo years of age, having a wile and two children.
