SAVINGS BANK RECORD YEAR.
Wellington, Jan. 18. Sir Joseph Ward reports that the excess of deposits over withdrawals in the P.O. Savings Bank for the 12 months ended December 31, was ,£2,411,083, the highest amount at the cent of depositors for twelve months in the history of the Dominion. The amount of deposits tor the year was ,£13,706,057, and the withdrawals .£11,294,974.
