BOWLING.
There was a good muster of bowlers on the local green yesterday afternoon and both croquet lawns were also occupied. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs Evans. The following are the results of further games played in the competition for the trophy presented by Mr Rail: F. Whibley (3) 22 beat Lumsden (7) 18, McColl (2) 21 beat Large (7) 13 and F. Whibley (3) 18 beat McColl (2) 17The holders of the Mausou and Barr Cup (Tasker’s rink, Palmerston N.) have been challenged by a local rink (F. Whibley, McColl, Nye and Rlmmer (s) ) and the match will be played at an early dale.
