ENTERTAINMENTS.

FULLER’S PICTURES

“THE MIDDLEMAN.”

A picture of exceptional merit heads the list for Wednesday and Thursday change of programme at the Town Hall, featuring the magnificent dramatic masterpiece, “The Middleman.” This is an unusual accomplishment, not only because of the real group of people it presents, and the sense of the present surging questions of labour and capital, but also for its unique incidents and its triumphant conclusion. “The Middleman” will always be remembered as the high mark of dramatic artistry because of its breadth of thought, its truthfulness to woman nature, its living interest. Compared with the convential story it is as refreshing as a breeze through a rose garden on a sweltering Indian day. In addition to the magnificent star attraction, a delightful programme ot comedies and topical films will be shown, these include : “Departure of the sth Reinforcements,” interest ; “Three Suitors and a Dog,” comic; “Forcing Dad’s Consent,” comic ; and “The Latest European Gazette.” TO-NIGHT. An outstanding feature of tonight’s programme is a Keystone mirth magnet, “Getting Acquainted,” featuring Charles Chaplin. Also a full complement of scenic, comic, dramatic and topical items.
