BOWLING.

A large number of entries have been received lor the pairs tournament to be held on the local green on Monday, and favoured with fine weather a very enjoyable day’s play should result. The tournament will commence at 10 o’clock, an hour’s adjournraeut will be made for lunch, and during the afternoon refreshments will be dispensed by the lady members. In order to have the lawns in the best possible order a “ bee ” will be at work from an early hour in the morning. Kntries close with the secretary to-night at 7 o'clock, and immediately afterwards the pairs will be drawn and handicapped.

A rink from Woodville was to have played Masterton ("present holders) for the Dixon Cup last Tuesday, but the match had to be postponed on account of the unfavourable weather conditions.
