CROQUET.
A meeting of the committee of the Ladies Croquet Club was held on Thursday night when it was deckled to hold a singles tournament ou Monday (Labour Day) commencing at 1.30 p.m. Kach match will occupy 20 minutes. The prize is a trophy presented by Mrs Woods, Afternoon tea will be provided by the ladies, each member being asked to bring a basket. The following tournament (all snigles) have been arranged for the season : No. 1. Open handicap, prize: Rose Bowl presented by Mr Gardes; No. 2. Open handicap, prize: Trophy presented by Mrs Bryant; No. 3. Open only to those who have not previously won a trophy, prize: Trophy presented by Mrs Perreau. All entries close on November 3rd.
